From what I have read, no.

If you don't mind playing it outside Steam, I think that GOG version includes both the remastered and the original (which apparently is clearly better).

I don't understand why we don't get the option of the original.

I own this for Steam. I also have the original for PS.

I would love to have the original on Steam. They'd probably sell a lot more if they included it.

I have read that the previous version on Steam was in fact the original, but some months ago they updated it (including the people who already owned the original) to the Director's Cut because who knows why.

Yep same deal as DX:HR once the directors cut came out. Until they add the original versions it to steam as bonuses the only option is to get them on GOG. I bought it originally on GOG and the only thing stopping me from buying the Broken Sword Trilogy on this discount over Steam is that it lacks the original versions of both BS1&2.

Kinda laughable really, the BS2 Remastered isn't too bad although I still prefer the original but BS1 Remastered is just awful. They shoehorn in some extra scenes with Nico which were never supposed to be in the game to start with and they delete a heap of original content.

Another example of why digital distribution should never completely replace physical media. Not only do you risk losing your games if the distributor goes down, but they might also cripple your game later or even do things like add censorship. With physical media all this would have been impossible.

I bought this one on GOG. A shame Steam doesn't offer the original game. Liked it better right from the start (and I haven't even played it back then, so it's not nostalgia blindness). Would buy again on Steam if they'd offer.
