If you don't mind playing it outside Steam, I think that GOG version includes both the remastered and the original (which apparently is clearly better).
I own this for Steam. I also have the original for PS.
I would love to have the original on Steam. They'd probably sell a lot more if they included it.
I have read that the previous version on Steam was in fact the original, but some months ago they updated it (including the people who already owned the original) to the Director's Cut because who knows why.
Kinda laughable really, the BS2 Remastered isn't too bad although I still prefer the original but BS1 Remastered is just awful. They shoehorn in some extra scenes with Nico which were never supposed to be in the game to start with and they delete a heap of original content.
