This game is information overload.
There is so much to learn at the start of the game, it suffers from a big lack of conveyance. I like that it's deep and offers you a lot to do, but damn if it isn't obtuse. I can press buttons to block during battle or something, but I don't know what timing to use, I get a single tutorial and that's it? The cards have something about high numbers being good when I'm playing a card game? Why does it only use the left side of the card numbers? Maybe it was the right?

I had a chance to push a block in the first level, apparently using LT, but I couldn't push it. Am I supposed to hold LT and push? Tap and push? Push and hold, wait a second, release, then press? I have no clue, and it wasn't explained! My fault? Who knows. Why do I have to move each character individually? Is this to drag out the gameplay time? I love traversing the same area thrice!

Anytime a battle appears up ahead, I have to move all three characters forwards, then initiate the battle, apparently, or there's a turn cooldown where whatever character I was using suffers a major assault all by himself.

Why do some items in the power flow section not work properly? I have a red fire flask but it won't work on red tiles, yet yellow and blue do? Why are some things straight lines, some curve to the left, etc?

Training section, huh? Something about teleport dodges, and a rage meter, uhhhhh I have no idea how it works!

This game suffers big league from information overload and yet somehow has no ability to convey it without using walls of text that are so wordy and complex, referring to other things I haven't learned yet, that I have no idea what to do. I shouldn't have been started off with three characters, but instead a tutorial level with the princess fleeing her guards all by herself. By trying to learn three characters at once in a game like this, there's simply too much to do!

Please, god, watch this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FpigqfcvlM

This game is beautiful, and seems like a lot of fun, but if the only way I have to win a card game or a battle is by mashing buttons and praying, I can't call it enjoyable in the slightest. I don't want to be that guy who drops a not recommended on a brand new game, but as of now, I would not recommend this to anyone I know until something is done to make learning all these systems easier.

TL:DR don't rush the tutorial, and try to use less 'tell' and more 'show'. You should either play the Mario and Luigi games, which do an excellent job at this, or since you likely already have played them, replay them. This game is missing something important.

P.S. this is 2017, why do so many devs still use a pre-loader for changing options like keybinding, rather than putting those options ingame? It's just another minor annoyance.

Edit: Another thing, I was like 20 minutes in when the wolf guy was suddenly in a shop, I moved left, saw a treasure chest, then the guy in the shop yelled at me and I was kicked out! I had no indication it was a stealth section, or at least if it was given, nothing pointed out whatever was looking for me.

This is called "feature creep", and it's quite unfortunate. Game looks amazing, I wanted it to be successful so much. :(

Sure, but this won't stop it from being successful.
