That way you'll get straight to the boss fight without having to go through the text boxes again.
Sure, you just have to walk into the trigger, confirm that you're okay with not going back, again, then do the skip cutscene, and still go through two text boxes before the fight.
Two short text boxes aren't really problematic though. That's just nitpicking at this point.
Also, it's actually quite common in video games to have a checkpoint before a long dialogue followed by a boss fight.
Although, I do admit that it doesn't really have much of a purpose in a game like TFH. In a lot of other games (like RPGs, for instance), you have the possibility to change your equipment/perks before a boss fight. But there is no such thing in this game, so yeah, it does seem pretty pointless to me.
But then again, it's not really problematic either. Sure, you'll have to walk to the trigger again and confirm that you want to continue and then open the menu to skip the dialogue. But the checkpoint is usually *right* before the trigger and you don't have to go through *all* of the text boxes, just two small ones when the boss fight starts. Not to mention that all of that is fast and easy to do.
Would have been truly infuriating if you had to, like, walk a looong way back to the trigger or do something hard/slow in order to retry the boss fight.
By the way:
Technically, that's not a lie. It's a point of no return, as in "if you proceed through the story, you won't be able to come back to previous areas...unless you die". And players usually don't want to die since the goal is to beat the enemies/bosses, not the other way around. But hey, that's just a detail.
The first one can be fixed a bit with some difficulty adjustments (I'm on normal/casual) and doesn't need to be there with that. I can't think of a good reason for the later being the way it is tho.
I was with one hit ko of healt left on Velvet's chapter so the bear that is hidden on a secret room on the museum killed me easily..... That is of course till I learned a way to defeat the bear with all odds against me.
Yes. I defeated that bear having myself a one hit ko of health left, even I'm impressed with myself about that comeback I did XD
With Velvet there was no problem since your health is refilled for that fight.
Try using both hands. Tap down with one and the jump part with the other in quick succession.
