Super jump just why?

So is there any way to change the super jump to up up or something like that because my ps4 controll seams to be a bit sniffy about what constitudes tapping down, I'm stuck in the alpacas climbing zones because I can't consistently pull the damm super jump

You can tap any diagonal down and it still works
Otherwise try using a dpad or keyboard, or simply working on having clean inputs (too fast - you don't fully push downwards and don't get the crouch needed to crouch-jump, too slow and it doesn't register as a crouch-jump; yes it takes some practice and can be iffy without it - give the tutorial lessons/challenges a try if you haven't yet)

Up up wouldn't work by the way because Oleander and potentially future characters have a double jump and those would conflict with each other.

Ollie can't superjump though.

I'd suspect that the problem actually would either be that you'd do a small jump that would suddenly become super jump or you'd have to have imput delay on regular jumps since the game would have to make sure you don't want supperjump.

Iam gonna hijack your thread to criticize the devs for those shadow birds and the level where we have to exactly use the "super jump". Sure, it is doable but is it fun?! I feel like burning the game after it, and you are supposed to make us love it! The birds are a cancer to hit and you know it!! The jumps dont connect many times and other times because we are near a ledge the entire super jump just fails. Anyway, some really bad level designs in the story I'am sorry to say.

I HATE this DAMN Jump. I love fighting games but this super jump is too iffy and precise to use on a PLATFORMER! Who's dumb idea was this anyway? I love everything about this game ecxept the godamn jump on the platforming sections. There is a reason platformers don't normally use complex fighting controls. This is it.
