Can we get an MLP:FIM Mane six mod for this game?
I would love to see a mod made for this game that add the MLP:FIM mane six back into the game! If this game has mod support then I really hope someone or the devs can release a mane six mod as Im sad to see this game did not become an FIM based game.

BTW Im so happy to see this game finally getting released!

If Half Life can get remade on the source engine by fans, then TFH can get modded back to fighting is magic by fans.
Not all games are easy to mod.

I'm a brony but I'm a bit annoyed by this game's association with the MLP and think it should be mentioned as little as possible... However given the fandom we are talking about, that's a lost cause.
Given that the game is based off of ManeSix’s previous work (Fighting is Magic), and the majority of people supporting them are most likely Bronies, as well as the fact that the main characters are inspired by the Mane 6 from MLP, it’t hard NOT to associate the game with ponies.

I know it isn’t a pony game, and I will never claim it to be a pony game, as that ruins the point of what the game is trying to do, and that is distance itself from the IP that got the devs in trouble with Hasbro in the first place. However, simply because the game is made by Bronies, and is based off of a fighting fan game for MLP, the stigma is there. The most we can really do is correct people who think the game is a pony game when it isn’t.
There's always the Tribute Edition Fighting is Magic...

It's pretty easy to not associate it with ponys. I manage to talk about the game without bringing up ponys until the topic inevitably comes up. But we've got people calling it the pony game, dropping brony memes, and apparently asking for pony mods. This does not look good to outsiders. I'm not saying we sweep the game's origins under the rug, but maybe for the sake of the game's success we don't shove it in everyone's face and try to give the game's community it's own identity.

And I actually agree with you on this one.

They'd have to be on fours the whole time for the mod to work. A bit weird, but OK.

Iirc, Z-Engine just straight won't do mods like that, or it's incredibly difficult to make work. Pons aren't gonna be in TFH in the forseeable future, although who knows, might be some color palettes for your needs.
Oleander has some MLP-themed palettes, though none of them are Twilight.

Tbh that's fine, that'd have been way too on-the-nose. If there were none even I'd have been fine, but whatever, glad it's getting away from its roots as much as it's able. Better for it and all.

The ones she does have are cool, tho, prolly gonna play Chrissy Ollie since it's there.

We have to deal with the fact is not going to be a thing ...

We lived back in 2011 if memory doesnt fail me and welp its better to close that dramatic episode tho.

Say still we can rely in different internet MLP:FIM fanmade builds which btw are fun.

You really think the devs want to make something like that after the C&D? They don't even want people bringing up the previous game, ha.

Regardless, the game is currently unlikely to have mod support any time, soon if at all, so try to love the current group of fuzzies, if you please~
Let's face it. It's literally going to happen, whether the devs, or hasbro, like it or not. Any attempts to stop it, will just result in the mass scale of it's circulation.

It'll literally just be nothing different from Blizzard "cracking down" on Overwatch porn. It won't work, and it'll literally just make the apparent "problem" even worse as, I imagine alot of people like to get one over on companies like Hasbro.

That reality, will be far more apparent, given MagicGate's whole existence and the absolute pathetic mess that is (which is hilariously easy to get rid of, just Hasbro doesn't want to lay the boot to WOTC).

Like even if Hasbro goes full-on Cease and Desist, someone will decide to do it, and eventually, it could easily just be hosted on dropbox, and distributed that way to people looking for it.

*cough* Should that happen, hook me up bruh *cough*

It feels like at some point, modding this game will be somewhat on the same level as making a mugen mod. Only minus the tools.

Whether it's just "Oh, everyone's just colored like MLP characters" it's going to happen.

If hte game does well enough, the mere-presence of Lauren Faust's name, will be enough to spur a flurry of MLP-type mods.

Making a game, is hard, modding it, not so much, not in this day and age.

But we'll just have to see and wait if the game will even have Modding support (unlike Skullgirls).
IMO, I feel there's too much to gain with having modding support, or atleast modding tools, to just not do it. Literally the difference between a game lasting two years, and the same game lasting twenty years.

I think you gave a very good argument for the game to NOT have modding support.

I don't even think you realise just how hard it is to mod the Z-Engine. People have been trying to do it for 5 years and they still can't because it requires replacing each and every sprite of animation in the game.

Sonicfox (Big time injustice 2 and MKX world champion) was a QA tester for this game. He could have easily just turned down the offer, but the guy wanted to.

People take Sonicfox seriously so if he endorses the game it's a good thing despite the stigma behind it's original inception.

Well Sonicfox can endorse the game and we can also keep the pony memes on the downlow. Those aren't contradictory.
