As for why it's unstable, as far as I'm aware windows did something to cause Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 alongside some other games to crash very quickly once it's launched. Even this is slightly nebulous, since for some people it apparently works fine.
EDIT: If you're unable to find the fix for the crashing somewhere on the steam forums, I'm willing to provide the launch option fix that I have running if you want to try that and see if it works.
With that said though, I promised that I'd post my version of the fix if you asked, and I will oblige, in spite of your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ way of asking.
In BFGA2 Launch Options, type, 'cmd /c "set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000 && %command%" -NoEAC' without the apostrophes.
That worked for me in getting the game up and running. Now, it won't work if you're planning on playing online with others, no EAC will do that.
>>>never mind would play till main menu soon as you select any campaign, it crashes
This fixed the issue altogether and it's a simple fix :)
You paid for something that was advertised to work on the specs your machine meets or exceeds. You were not expressly told it has trouble with modern processors and need 3rd party workarounds.
Sure the fix isn't difficult. But the devs are responsible for making sure their store page is accurate, but its not. So maybe when they get enough flags and negative reviews they'll do that simple fix or adjust the store page accordingly.
Actually this is not a bad idea, however, refunding is up to each person
