Skalgrim Mod v.2.0 released
V.2.0 "The End Draws Near".

This version of the Skalgrim mod adds new ships for several factions and also represent the last major update to the mod, with a focus on balance and faction related changes. A special thanks to Mirolog, JonathanZotack, Imperator, Dire_Venom and aZmoDen for various help with the mod. (Also a special thanks to the people who donated to me - as promised I bought a nice bottle of rum to celebrate the 2.0 version)

Skalgrim mod changes stats for Ordnances like fighters and bombers, decreases their reload time and makes them better and more worth the points spent on carriers. It changes the stats for weapons, units, and campaign related things. It rebalances the game and makes for several times larger battles by both lowering shipcosts and increasing the amount of points available for both fleets and battles.Fleet sizes grow with levels just as in the original game, but to much greater sizes. You can also have more fleets. It rebalances critical hits, making bigger ships more resistant to crits. It rebalances morale, but increasing the rate at which morale regenerates, and several morale related effects. It buffs and changes many abilities, meaning that your choices matter more as a admiral.

This modversion includes the Greater Customization Submod - It lets you change your campaign settings to an higher degree.

if i can ask, what is planned for the mod, i mean its the final version or will be updated with some more ships or rebalance...??

This is the last major update I'v planned. I'v added something like 60+ new ships to the game, thousands of changes and rebalanced all factions. Next on the list are some campaign submods, two of which I'v done but won't be uploaded until tomorrow, that lets you do things like play allied forces. Eldar+ Imperium and Orks + Chaos so far. There might be some minor updates that might add a single ship or two, or further balance, but major updates like this one is something I don't have time for anymore. It takes ALOT of time to create major mods like this.

Yes. Or rather, you need the 2.0 version of the submod.

Also thank you very much for your hard work with this mod :) me and my friend love playing battlefleet with it and the submod, its amazing what you have done :)

This mod is amazing and more peeps shud try it!
The 2.1 version will be done in a week or two aswell. Adds a fair amount of new ships.

too bad coop is not the priority of the mod, and UI bug making it impossible to play as coop.

I'm curious about this. I heard the campaigns for all factions were basically the same ... is this true? If so does this mod actually offer up something different other than tweaks to stats?

The campaigns all follow the same concept but have unique missions. The mod, besides a few thousand changes and tweaks, also includes around 90 new ships (with the 2.1 version thats close to a release) amongst which you can find titans and Mega titans. Something that the vanilla game is more than stingy with (you could only have three titans in vanilla across all factions).

Then there is the submods that lets the player use factions that are not available in the vanilla campaigns, like an Tau Imperial alliance, a Eldar Imperial alliance, a Ork Chaos alliance.

So yes. Its a whole different beast compared to the vanilla game.

Not to say anything bad about the base game, but, I would say a much more improved game. Your mod is so much fun, just popping in to give someone else to toot your horn :) I love playing your mod and you have done a fantastic job :D
