Yes.

Open Steam and go to your library.
Right click on the game in your library and click on properties.
Under General -> Launch Options write: -NoEAC
Start the game.

Out of curiosity would or could this result in me getting a ban or something from EAC?

Doesn't work
It works. Its needed to play with mods, and I'v been using it since 2019 or something when I started modding this game. When you turn EAC off you get a notice in the top right of your starting menu stating: "Stormancer disabled".

Unfortunately for me I did exactly as you said but it didn't work for me as I just got an error still though thx for the response
Assuming you have a legal copy of the game - have you tried verifying the files? Also, you are sure its a EAC issue and not the UE issue that affects intel 11th+ gen users? You can play the game in offline mode as well. You have not stated what your problem is, just that you wanted to shut EAC off - which the command prompt does. So Im just guessing here.

I'll start with the problem, my pc is a hand me down from my father and he downloaded some external apps or something along those lines that need driver signature enforcement turned off but EAC needs it on to work and whenever I ask if I can just turn it on he always replies with "Its best not to". Also I do own a legal copy I bought off steam from the sale right now, I don't know of any UE issue I'm afraid so I don't know if thats whats going on
Basically, if your game shuts down in like two minutes after starting up and you get a error message mentioning Unreal Engine. Thats your issue. If the issue is in fact the EAC, then other than using the known functional command prompt to shut it off - which we know works - heck I think it was the devs who told me way back to use it - then its just down to verifying your files first and foremost to make sure the game is uncorrupted - THEN turning off the EAC. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

It's a EAC error message that pops up saying that I need something turned on for EAC and the game to work. Oh well thanks though for trying I'll get a refund and try another game
