How's the single player campaign?
Liked the battles in Armada 1, but found the campaign a little uninspiring. This game much of an improvement on that score?

I think if the developers can make refinements to the grand campaign for the third game we could have something great, but right now the campaigns are decidedly average. Still, I would buy it at its current price, and especially on sale. The developers tried for something ambitious here, and while it fell somewhat flat, I do think they should be encouraged to try again, and I do think even on its own merits it is well worth the price. I've put several hundred hours in both games, so I got my money's worth.

In my opinion, it's too repetitive and with no individual ship customisation it just felt lacking. But different strokes for different folks I guess.

I really liked the campaign in Armada 1. The battles were a bit repetative, but the story telling was just awesome! The best for any 40k game... But Armada 2... Not so much... The campaign story telling isn't inspiring.

OK thanks for that.

Although I haven't played the Armada 2, I thought the Armada 1 really missed a good opportunity to bring a few 4X elements to the game. (Sure, it's not that kind of game etc etc).

Why won't they add an Ork campaign? It would be interesting and welcome by a single-player fanbase. Hell, how bout another company doing that. With a kickstarter perhaps.

My first impressions were good. After playing for 6-7 hours in the Imperial campaign, the game now has started crashing after 10-20 minutes of gameplay. I can maybe rush through a battle or two before the game crashes. My PC is high spec and new so it's not due to lack of RAM or processing power.

I have tried most of the possible fixes I can find, nothing is helping.

Very disappointed.
I am having a good time, I mainly play it in co op with my friend however. There are alot of ships to micro manage and idk if I could do it on my own. It is enjoyable with some interesting beats, but it does drag on. if they made the rest of the campaign feel as high energy as the tutorial, might make a great game come 3. The imperial factions have alot of ships, but every other factions just have variation of the same ships it feels like. But i may be asking for too much, the combat is great. I enjoy nothing more than torpedoing a ship while ramming. Never gets old! :winter2019coolyul:

boring. shallow, repetitive

Empire campaign is fun, so many different ships with different abilities and roles to play. Necrons is boring repetitive grind. From light cruiser upwards only 1 ship per classe!! The urgency meter also became a joke. You can cancel invasions and lower urgency by using battleplans, wich are very easy to get.

Goatfarmer, you need to turn off the easy anti-cheat. That's what keeps crashing your game. Also, when you play, do that only. Don't alt-tab into other screens or have YT or other email and such open in another window. Let me look up the code to turn of easy anti-cheat.

Properties -> General -> Launch Options -> -NoEAC

Imperial and Chaos campaign is ok, similar repetitiveness as first game but with more ship types, depths, and mechanics. Necron and Tyranoid campaign is extremely boring due to lack to ship variations. My biggest issue is that AI is too dumb, they tend to bunch up in a line, sometimes ram their own ships or space rocks, easy to exploit, always tunnel vision chase the closest revealed target, easy to stealth kite to death, eat bombs and nova cannons all day, and they don't have access to flagship skills which makes a huge difference. If you know what you're doing, you can easily win battles where your fleet strength is outnumbered 3 to 1 and still lose zero ship on hardest difficulty.
