No I mean to tell you that for some reason your setup is causing the game to crash, which could be for a number of reasons, for which there are some solutions to try out. Its all up to you if you want to try these solutions or not.
The Beta version available is one that I helped Focus make and which is more stable for some people. Its also a must if you want to play modded coop games.
Possible solutions are still the same. Use the "-NoEAC" launch option line, and/or try the Beta version. Verifying game files is also a given before anything else is tried. The game has never had a workshop. You find mods for it on moddb or Nexus instead.
The fix is explained in this link

Step 1. Open "Control Panel" by searching for it in Windows search bar, by pressing the Windows button or key.
Step 2. Go to "System & Security"
Step 3. Go to "System"
Step 3. Press "Advanced system settings"
Step 4. Press "Environmental Variables"
Step 5. Create a new "System Variable" (NOT USER VARIABLE)
Step 6. Enter the following into the Variable name box: OPENSSL_ia32cap
Step 7. Enter the following into the Variable value box: ~0x20000000
Step 8. Now press OK.
Step 9. Restart

Game crashes on all new computers and is abandoned by team that made it. I am necroing old posts so people see that before wasting money on expansions that will be unplayable unless you are willing to modify your global open ssl settings and hope it doesnt effect all your other programs.
Steam btw is denying all refund requests on the Chaos expansion that will not work, citing that the base game is over the 2 week period, so remember that when thinking about buying steam titles in the future. If you dont go to the forum and read through pages and pages of posts, you could very well be wasting money on something that wont work and getting denied a refund for a broken and unplayable game.
