Negative income after Cadia, did I break the game?
First time player here, I was just starting out blowing filthy Heretics out the sky. I had most of my planets in the Cadia sector at II, was making a healthy 200+ per turn.

Then I took Cadia and gained an extra fleet, then suddenly am in the negative income in one fell swoop. Can't upgrade or repair anything.

Do I need to start again?

Ships repair over time (dependant on the system they're in). So you don't need a large income.

You can destroy excess ships without loosing the fleet - weigh up whether you want those ships now, or whether you can make do with a false fleet until your infrastructure is upgraded some more.

Your +100 turn bonus ran out, the survivors of cadia reward that you will have gotten in the first couple turns. You haven't broken the game just upgraded past your income based on a temporary reward.

Capture systems with hive worlds or forge worlds.
When you take the Agripina sector you will gain alot more income as this is a very wealthy sector in regards to Hive Worlds.

You need to pay ships, the more ships you have, the more you must pay
