Can you uninstall EAC if you play with -noEAC flag?
Is this possible? I have no interest in multiplayer.

--- EAC RANT ---

It irks me to no end that there was no notification that EAC is a must during purchase and EAC gets installed without any sort of notification.

EAC detected mt32emu.dll as an illegal file on my system. I'm sure any older gamer would know what an MT32 is. It's the wet dream sound device back in the day.

So what pisses me off about this.
1. If I had know EAC was a must, I probably wouldn't have bought the game
2. I have a severe allergy to any software that gets silently installed without being notified either before or during installation
3. 30 days after filing a report on this, mt32emu.dll is still a bloody illegal file

Only reason why I haven't refunded the game is because I actually want to play the campaign and I bought the game because
1. Focus rewarded existing customers by giving owners of BFGA 1 a discount to BFGA 2, that is a super nice touch
2. I want to ensure the series continues on and do my small part to support it

You can disable the EAC in the games launch parameters under the Steam properties, per your thread title. Don’t know if the command is case sensitive.

-NoEAC

Not sure if the EAC can be completely uninstalled yet still be able to run the game.

Disabling EAC will also disable multiplayer.

Thanks, you just gave me a reason to actually consider buying the game for my Linux box, as I have zero intention of playing with anyone except my IRL friends, thus EAC doesn't matter at all, and is in fact a detriment to my preferred OS thanks to Tencent Sweeny and the Epic Fail Store..

I'm also assuming that unlike Fatshark's rancid ass implementation of EAC in vermintide 2 that BFG:A2's implementation doesn't make it impossible to progress past level 1, given the existence of a -noEAC flag, right?

If EAC is deactivated Multiplayer is switched off and all skills/upgrades are unlocked.
If you just want to do the Single player content/invite friends to matches turning EAC off will not impact your gameplay in any way.

Nope, even if you have EAC disabled it still runs at launch and if it's not installed it fails out. At least disabling it allows you to play the campaign without getting randomly kicked out to the main menu.
