the different leader types have restrictions on what ship types they can have
the devs did mention they are looking into what ships go into battle
I would like to see a selection screen for that
Let in systems with ports there will be "hubs" where the player will be able to stack the ships he does not need and take them from there when needed. Again, depending on the fraction.
Definitely, lack of "transfer from fleet A to Fleet B" is madness.
No fleet management before battle - REALLY???? Sure, game about fleet tactics is about fkng random-generated additionally user pain, isn't?
Devs, dont give me a reason to contact with Officio Assassinorum, huh
And thus you can park this in a stable system and use it to transfer ships around, get them repaired, etc.
Except for the Tyranids, who should be able to eat their own ships for healing as a basic ability, with all ships having the same xp as the flagship (which gets it at half rate).
Say you have two fleets and enough resources to buy one cruiser. Only neither fleet has capacity to take the cruiser. I want to move a frigate from one fleet to the other, thus fulling the capacity of that fleet and at the same time freeing enough capacity in the first to buy the cruiser. Right now I have to operate with two under capacity fleets and spare resources in the bank. The fleets are even in the same system, it makes absolutely no sense not to do this because of some arbitrary designation of which ship comes under which (imaginary - since I lead them all) command.. Frankly its just frustrating.
Although I can't comment on this particular feature at this time, the team is working very hard on a huge update that focuses on significantly improving the single player experience, which will be coming this summer. The team is utterly committed to the game and community feedback is always a priority. :)
We will be sharing a lot more information on this very soon.
