Sort of, from what I know they are extremely rare and the Admech almost exclusivly uses them in non combat roles leading Explorator fleets due to their prodcution capacity which is apprently equal to a hive city. (https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Ark_Mechanicus). And for what your refering to I think the ship was encorperated into the structure of the forge world? don't qoute me on that as I'm not entriely sure myself.

Like with much of IM tech its more complicated then that. There are two types of ark mechanicus old DAOT which is what your thinking of and "relatively newer" ships from great crusades etc. The admech knows how to make the hull of a ark mechanicus but unlike the old DAOT ships they dont know how to make certain components, systems, wepons or heck even how to wire the dam thing right. This means that there are many types of ark mechanicus ships with some being old relic ships you cant replace but for the sake of standardization they all get labed ark mechanicus http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Ark_Mechanicus

Iirc some ark mechanicus are pretty much full STCs and comparably advanced to necron ships, because you know humanity was the most advanced race in the galaxy.

Depends on the ark in particular. Some of the old DAoT stuff is ridiculous, like the Speranza, which is armed with graviton beams which create singularities and chroniton weapons capable of shifting enemy ships a few seconds into the past. The ones we can use in BFG-2 are the second generation ships that are built from conventional imperial tech.

The Admech doesn't commit the truly ancient ones to battle, and for good reason.
