Space Stations in the campaign
Hey...
I noticed when an enemy fleet attacks a system with defence platforms, they do nothing if there is no friendly fleet in the system... Is it the same for space stations? Do stations put up a fight even if there is no friendly fleet in the system, or are they worthless as such?

If your fleet isn't stationed in the system, it doesn't matter what defences are there pre built, only fleet clashes count and defences help the defending fleet, they don't work on their own.

Which makes sense because without a fleet nearly any opponent fleet and outrange and stealth kill all your defenses effortlessly.

Makes sense if you look at the current gameplay yes.

Makes zero sense lore wise/logic wise. As with much of the game and it's mechanics.
