But Chaos is full of scheming backstabbers, and Abaddon has been head honcho for 13 Black Crusades. So he probably has a lot of experience putting down ambitious vassals.
So i'd give them both good odds, depending on how the Chaos gods feel that day.
he doesnt have imperial plot armor wich is the only thing making abbadon incompetent
but they do
and what do you think can get traitor legions to follow orders
fear
the dude is powerful
primarch level powerful at this point
he has so much experience in terminator armor that he can move in it like normal powerarmor
he has a primarch weapon in one hand and a legendary deamon blade in the other and the blessing of all four gods eventho they know he wont serve just them
aswell as the patronage of the first deamon prince
GW writing has made the armless incompetence, but thats not abbadons fault its just the need to keep the story static
its how the endless waves of tyranids always seem to run out just as they are about to accomplish anything eventho they just ate several planets that should spawn entire new hivefleets
its GW not realizing the imperial plot armor is only non harmful to ork stories
if malos became the new warmaster he would spontaniusly lose his arms just like every treat to the imperium does
