Easy Anti Cheat causing crashes

Game crashes completely, so badly I need to control alt delete to restart pc. As it does so, a popup window comes up with a ping, and says 'easy anti cheat game violation #00001' then the pc restarts. I've had blue screen once from on of these crashes. I know i play ultramarines, but I don't deserve this. It feels like your anti cheat is crashing my game. I have no 3rd party software installed on my machine, i dont get whats going on. Either that or these crashes are just the game. What do i do?

Crashed again in the middle of the first mission. Does beta time count as pay time for refunds? I agree with Rx0r, I have been waiting months for this game, but this is alpha BS. It is not stable.

easy anti cheat did lead by several other games to crashes too.

Easy Anti Cheat is just a mess as program, it does not prevent people from cheat or in worst case doesnt let people play the game at all.


If they don't fix this ASAP, I see already a huge refund wave incoming at release.

I want a functional game !

I totally read ya man...me too. I will document everything in my post and will let them know evrrything we have tried so far to no avail and also rephrase the fact that a lot of ppl are experiencing this issue.

It's highly unlikely there will be a fix for this, the Devs can't fix it because it not an issue with the game and EAC won't fix it because they say it's working fine, the issue is with the people who make whatever it is that's triggering EAC.
Those people say its not their problem, it's EAC being a ♥♥♥♥ and there is nothing they want to do since they are not feeling any downside to the problem.

Ultimately the only people who really suffer are us poor saps who don't get to play a game we want too. The devs of this and the other games have obviously done the maths and decided the loss from this issue is not enough to stop using EAC.

2- you have fresh installed game, with no mods or third party programs running in background

there is jsut no hint whats wrong, it just if you want to customize your fleet the game does crash
you can play story, you can take existing fleets and play, but that feature is just non-working.
Its just selection in menu, how is it possible to mess this up lol.

Actually I had this crash in Single Player when I alt-tabbed back in so its not just a MP thing.
EAC is renown for triggering over random stuff, just check google.
When you say you have no 3rd party programs running, how many "background processes" are running in your task manager?
The issue is most likely with something there. Or a driver.

EAC need to fix the issues, its not a new thing. They just refuse to accept responsibility for the issue or do anything about it. They need to gather the data and make sure EAC does not trigger on all these false positives.

It's too late but i would have liked for them to have choosed another anti-cheat software like VAC or at least disable it for the single player campaign. Its stupid that an Anti-Cheat software prevents me from playing the singleplayer modes, its even worst than Denuvo or other DRM and those are supposed to prevent piracy.

Click Help at the top, Steam Support, Purchases, Game name. Should be an option there.
You might have to argue with them, depends on if the game is listed as Beta is their database.

the refund option isnt there, clearly i've spent too much time. Il send them an email. this isnt the best precedent.
