Crazy numbers in campaign (enemy ships)
So this is kinda a rant. As a proper yolo master and veteran of the first game, i started necron campaign on hardest dif. Proper challange but i am having fun. The negative point is though, the number of ships that enemy can field is really, really getting crazy.

I mean right now, i can field 950 point worth of ships (which is like BC, a cruiser and a LC) against an orks, they can field and i am not kidding: 6-8 escorts, 3cruisers, 2 BC and maybe one or 2 LC AT THE SAME TIME!!!!

I mean ok, i have a starbase, but as a necron i kinda lack shields, so after 5 minutes the battle, my starbase has 80% of weapons and i cant get closer to the enemy, becouse i dont have crew . And i cant even choose what ships i go in to the battle at the start, so half of my ships is undercrewed, AGAINST ORKS: (.

I would be ok if AI coud field a little more then me, but this? I cant win this unless i get lucky, I mean, my fleet power in the system is 1900 against theirs 2100, but i can field only 950(random selection).

Honestly, did you even tested the hardes dificulity? Right now, i am not so sure and no, i dont want to abandon a system thats fully developed with starbase when i have fleet that should be able to hold it.

So two things, please, think about numbers of ships we or enemy should be able to field in the battle and give us the option to choose the ships, we want to go in to battle with. Thanks.

Starbase is not a defensive structure more like punchbag with pitiful dps so relying on it was a mistake. Scrap smaller ships so bigger ones will be chosen for battle and use aoe attacks to crush enemy morale as first priority. Necrons is bad without admiral skills usage so stack admiral flagships from 2-3 fleets for battle.

you can determine the selection by shuffling the order of your fleet around in the engagement screen, and the space station shouldn't count towards your point limit. I dont know the exact composition of the Ork fleet, but 6 escorts is 6*35 is 300, 3 cruisers is 3 times 100/150 is 300/450, 2 BC is 2 times 150 is 300 and two light cruisers is 100. 1150 points they can field(more or less), I suspect they also have a limit. those odds seem a lot closer now. try and focus their flagship and the rest should rout when it does. and like Vindicator said, use your admiral skills.

So you're complaining the the hardest diffculty is too hard and they should make it easier? :steammocking:

Most AI cheats in some way as they can't compete with human intelligence, even the new AI that's just learnt to play star craft 2 cheats by looking at the whole map instantly.

Well they kinda already cheat with all ships on level 3 exp., bigger fleets ect. But with battles i would atleast expect 1:2 numbers of ships not 1:3 or 1:4 in ship combinations, not to mention i have low crew numbers, but thats ok, thats on me, poor planing.

I guess i will have to slam my head against the wall and hope for the best, thanks.

I'm having trouble with the 2800 point tyranid fleets, they just have massive endless numbers and their battleshits are so tanky.
