No skirmish vs AI?

I just bought the game, went super motivated into the game, chosed skirmish and then I realized that there is no way to play just skirmish battles vs the AI.

Is there really no way to just play skirmish battles vs the AI. I dont want to go campaign, I just want to choose a fleet and go against a AI. Would be great if I can chose the AI fleet to to experiment with abillities, upgrades and ship type.

But I have no words that one of the most basic Game modes is not part of the game: Skirmish vs AI.

If it really is this way, the game lost me and I will stop all of my warhammer nerdy friends from buying this. Sorry I am a bit more then unhappy about this. It kills the game for me and such a thing haven´t happend only very few times in my 30 years of videgame history. Dissapointing!

Well, there is Skirmish against AI. You need to choose fleet and then to press SKIRMISH 1v1. It will let you to set up you'r AI battle as you please

I was looking after this myself. Was about to refund the game - thank you. I'll test this tonight at home :).

As an Eldar player - it was heartbreaking not seeing them in the campaginlist and if I couldn't play vs. AI with my space elves, i'd be a very sad elf
