I can't beat the tutorial lol help.

I get to the last fight where you're supposed to wait in the asteroid field and you have to blow up the main ship but then like 5 or 6 more ships show up and almost instantly kill ya. I've tried going in close, I've tried running away and picking them off one by one but their ranges cover like the entire map. How do ya do it, my guns seems to randomly shoot targets so I can't seem to zero in on the main ship. There's no save that I can find so I gotta go through the dang tutorial over and over. I'm just not understanding what I'm supposed to do. If I wait in the asteroid the enemy ship doesn't get in close enough for a stealth attack with the lightning or boarding attacks, my guns just auto fire when it's in range and aggros the entire squad and insta melts my ship.
