Why even bother adding Necrons and Tyranids to this game...
...if you were just gonna make them near unplayable. They are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad..they need a serious reworking. they are the most garbage factions yet you keep nerfing them. Devs don't play their own game...

Do you mean for single-player or for multi-player?

'cos I found them both pretty good in the campaign....

And I found myself fearing Tyranids in the multiplayer.

if your still losing to nids the problem is with you
they didnt just lose what made them good
they got another 3 nerfs ontop of that that whernt needed even on the ships that where already worthless
they are currently just bad
what i dont understand: necrons are the most advanced race in 40k history. Their ships are made of living metal. They use solar flare energy for their ship weapanory.

Yet some stupid Gothic Cruiser, ♥♥♥♥♥ their day. Always.

With Necrons, you dont get the feeling of playing a mighty nation, but fearing those ape weapons of the fleshborn

Do you own a game, sir?

necrons are the mass recall faction
all their high tech went into that one skill

I found Necron deathstar builds in the campaign pretty devastating. Once you get to Cairns there is nothing else which can touch you for damage output and power.

I love Necrons but they were just not done any justice in this game. Probably my least favorite campaign. Ships feel so slow and clunky, the Mass Recall ability basically only exists because the ships are so slow and clunky, you need an ability to get them back in order. Only 1 stance worth using (dispersion), fighters are terrible (seriously, 1 deployment of Chaos fighters annihilates 4 Necron fighter deployments) and only 1 type, so no bombers or assault craft. Ship variety also extremely lacking, no reason to build anything more interesting than spam fleets and flood the map with them. No shields so they get insta-lightning striked....
I'm having infinitely more fun with the Chaos campaign, because at least there you have new and useful mechanics (chaos god powers can be OP if saved up and utilized at the right moments), and even though Chaos heavily favor lances, there's enough ship and ability variety that I've been using multiple effective fleet builds to switch things up (Mass boarding for World Eater fleets via hanger ships, long range lance spam, or using multiple but less powerful carriers for massive bomber runs). Not to mention the fact that Ive heard you get multiple titan ships in the campaign, so far I've only got the Blackstone fortress, which is hilariously OP but can be vulnerable to boarding.

exactly my point, they are push over trash. necrons are a joke too. i can half ass DESTROY necrons and tyranids, they dont put up a fight at all.

they completely suck. yes they can teleport and pull some tricky moves but all in all they are pretty bad.

you're joking right? cairns are not that powerful. what makes it worse is necron ships are expensive.

its very clear the devs dont play their own game or they simply just dont give a **** about balance and are happy to take our money. i really thought they would've learned their lesson from the first game but i guess not. there's no chance i will be buying the DLC or any future DLCs as well as a third installment of the series, they cannot be trusted anymore.

Necrons and Tyranids are easy to beat...
Ashantai Jul 3, 2019 @ 10:54pm
I find Necrons easy to defeat in the campaign as Imperials or Chaos.

However, I also found them easy to win as against everyone but Chaos and their lance kiting. Even then they weren't difficult.

They just require a different mindset, careful selection of ships and good timing. Once you get that down though they're not hard to use in campaign.

If you think Cairns in the hands of a good player with campaign buffs are not strong, you must be using them wrong. Remember, with dispersed arc stance they hit everything close, all their shots are 100% accurate and many of them pierce shields. They also crit hard, plus they are nearly immune to attack craft.

I will agree that early in the campaign they are expensive, weak and slow, but they ramp up quickly.

idk...they just seem to do little damage and they are not really all that durable either. yes teleports and mass relay is nice but their damage is really weak and they really aren't that durable imo. i find them easy to beat as every faction. a good buff for crons would be to make their ships cheaper.
Ashardalon Jul 4, 2019 @ 3:06am
no that wouldt be a good buff, they are necrons
a good buff would be to make them actually scary
actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrifying ships that are more then worth their cost but compensate for their overperforming by making them phase out when their morale breaks
that way you have both a good faction thats viable + a faction that follows the lore
make them a faction you cant beat, only scare away
current necrons that just waddle away when they break is moronic and lore breaking

also taking balance from the ability of beating the completely moronic ai is moronic
you can beat the ai with corsairs without moving
its a bad way to balance, the ai is bad
