'cos I found them both pretty good in the campaign....
they didnt just lose what made them good
they got another 3 nerfs ontop of that that whernt needed even on the ships that where already worthless
they are currently just bad
Yet some stupid Gothic Cruiser, ♥♥♥♥♥ their day. Always.
With Necrons, you dont get the feeling of playing a mighty nation, but fearing those ape weapons of the fleshborn
Do you own a game, sir?
all their high tech went into that one skill
I'm having infinitely more fun with the Chaos campaign, because at least there you have new and useful mechanics (chaos god powers can be OP if saved up and utilized at the right moments), and even though Chaos heavily favor lances, there's enough ship and ability variety that I've been using multiple effective fleet builds to switch things up (Mass boarding for World Eater fleets via hanger ships, long range lance spam, or using multiple but less powerful carriers for massive bomber runs). Not to mention the fact that Ive heard you get multiple titan ships in the campaign, so far I've only got the Blackstone fortress, which is hilariously OP but can be vulnerable to boarding.
exactly my point, they are push over trash. necrons are a joke too. i can half ass DESTROY necrons and tyranids, they dont put up a fight at all.
i cant take noobs seriously.
you too.
they completely suck. yes they can teleport and pull some tricky moves but all in all they are pretty bad.
you're joking right? cairns are not that powerful. what makes it worse is necron ships are expensive.
its very clear the devs dont play their own game or they simply just dont give a **** about balance and are happy to take our money. i really thought they would've learned their lesson from the first game but i guess not. there's no chance i will be buying the DLC or any future DLCs as well as a third installment of the series, they cannot be trusted anymore.
Necrons and Tyranids are easy to beat...
However, I also found them easy to win as against everyone but Chaos and their lance kiting. Even then they weren't difficult.
They just require a different mindset, careful selection of ships and good timing. Once you get that down though they're not hard to use in campaign.
If you think Cairns in the hands of a good player with campaign buffs are not strong, you must be using them wrong. Remember, with dispersed arc stance they hit everything close, all their shots are 100% accurate and many of them pierce shields. They also crit hard, plus they are nearly immune to attack craft.
I will agree that early in the campaign they are expensive, weak and slow, but they ramp up quickly.
idk...they just seem to do little damage and they are not really all that durable either. yes teleports and mass relay is nice but their damage is really weak and they really aren't that durable imo. i find them easy to beat as every faction. a good buff for crons would be to make their ships cheaper.
a good buff would be to make them actually scary
actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrifying ships that are more then worth their cost but compensate for their overperforming by making them phase out when their morale breaks
that way you have both a good faction thats viable + a faction that follows the lore
make them a faction you cant beat, only scare away
current necrons that just waddle away when they break is moronic and lore breaking
also taking balance from the ability of beating the completely moronic ai is moronic
you can beat the ai with corsairs without moving
its a bad way to balance, the ai is bad
