Anti-Cheat Error Preventing Launch

Every time I try to launch the game I immediately get a crash and window that says 'Anti-Cheat err....' [LightningServices] (something to that effect anyway).

I've tried multiple things found in these forums and I've also tried (3 times) the tips in the sticky post at the top of the Tech Support forum.

Anyone have other ideas that solved this? I'd love to play this game but sadly I'm not surprised given all the other issues being reported in the forums.

Sorry to say this but thats the anticheat being rubbish, you can thank Epic for that since they own easyanticheat. Anyhow can you post a screenshot of the error message I've had to deal with a fair few of these in my time here so I might be able to help

I actually already un-installed the game since I know for sure I won't be buying it now. I appreciate your offer to help though.

I was thinking buying the game I have the same issue

Again if you can provide a screenshot of the error message the anticheat spat out I might be able to help.

Sounds like lawyers should be drafting up some epic ♥♥♥♥ off C&D's for tim swiney and his giant pile of money. given this isn't the first game i have come across that's had issues. i'm also willing to put money on actions like this aren't legal at all as they seem to fit the legal definition of criminal sabotage.

Same.. Cant launch game.. In fact, this is the 2nd time Ive been unable to play a game for the same reason, though I cannot recall the other game.. Likely one of these free weekend things, as I usually avoid online games. this anti cheat crap is an automatic no buy for me, just like Denuvo!

Sorry not run into that one before, I'll have a quick look around inbetween rounds, I might be able to dig something up. Luckily though fortnite uses the same anticheat so I'm sure I'll be able to dig something up.

Okay looked it up, I was right the same problem was around 2 years ago and it affects fortnite, which of course means some youtubers rushed over to get those fortnite clicks, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ0ErWBTUAs

looks like the general gist of it is, the anticheat is being hypersensitive to; antivirus, steam/discord overlays and even certain types of keyboard. Seriously, if the anticheat is this bad who thought it was a good idea to put it in almost EVERYTHING?

i have Empyrion - Galactic Survival has the same anti cheat software I don't have a problem with Empyrion - Galactic Survival. I have a problem with the multiplayer on this game.
