How do I use the controller?
The store page says the game has partial controller support, but I can't figure out how to enable it?

Even the remapper doesn't accept controller joystick directions for movement...

In game press J to enable joystick control. If you have a valid controller (recognised by Windows) attached then a game pad emblem should appear.

Because the functionality to enable/disable controllers was removed in the "Controller" update.
Can't make this up...

I've been wondering about this. Occasionally SW will enable my controller on its own (and I have no idea why) which makes using the keyboard to control vehicles a challenge as the seat's axis suddenly become all-or-nothing instead of gradual. The only way to disable the controller that I've found is to reload the save. There's no other way to do it, then?

Haven't used my HOTAS since the controller update with this game, so either reloading or disconnecting before starting the game seem to be the only options.

I'll add that:

If joystick is plugged in, game started after. Keyboard will be default controls as usual.
Upon any first command or button push from joystick, it's activated and keyboard controls become basically 0 or 1 (as mentioned above).
Cannot remember if removing joystick at this point will revert back to keyboard mode or not.

If game is running first and joystick plugged in after - in my experience it is not detected regardless of any input from joystick.

Also, stupid decision removing the J key toggle option. Wonder what the reasoning is behind that.
