Basic help - 1st few missions guide somewhere?
Man, I really want to like this game but its so frustrating. Second mission in, there is a map, but I've no idea where I am on the map so worried about straying to far. The objectives - not on the map or offer a general area so large its ridiculous. Managed to find a burning boat, now what... Can't find a fire extinguisher at the base, none on the boat. can fix a hose to a fluid pump, can't turn it on. What am I doing wrong. I appreciate the building is very sophisticate but I just want to play it with default vehicles but it seems impossible. I can't find a tutorial anywhere unless it is about building. Can I add GPS to the boat at least so I know where I am? The Beacon seems to do nothing. Very frustrated, I don't want to refund this as it looks amazing. Please help me!

I've also noticed on some videos that the waypoints appear in the main view (rather than on the map). This doesn't happen for me. TAB also doesn't switch the camera. Do I have game-breaking bugs?

If you 'just want to play', refund while you can.

There should be a fire extinguisher on the starter boat since it's used in the tutorial (which teaches you to complete the tutorial, but not much more).

Career mode is a lot more difficult now since the 1.0 release. Third person view is disabled and you can't see yourself on the map. Also, you must load a save if you die (no respawn). No vehicle teleportation.

I had hoped that 1.0 would provide some much needed polish and QoL improvements to the mission system, but instead it was in my opinion a completely incomprehensible failure. It's literally as if the whole SAR mission system implementation began in the final 1-2 weeks before the 1.0 release.

It's very unfortunate, since so much potential is currently lost.

Yes there is, I can complete mission 1 but wanted a faster boat for mission 2 as the search area is quite large and with no map help, I spent 45 minutes looking for it and didn’t find it. I tried a different start location and there was no boat. No way to spawn the starter boat from mission 1!

I’ve had to request a refund. I’ve put in 2.6 hours so worried they will refuse. Frustrated, disappointed and a bit angry.

Thanks for the comments, appreciate your help.

I'm in the same situation, if I make a refund, the game is very interesting.

but having to press infinite buttons to start a vehicle, honestly it is without comments.

I want a sandbOX and not a WORK SIMULATOR.

Its 1 button...and you have to hold it

I just completed the lost boat, second mission. It was a bit tricky and really shouldn't be the second mission in. To anyone in the same situation; it might be helpful while searching to use your binoculars. You can even climb up to the top of the tower on your base island first to look around. You can see a lot from up there. Try to match landmarks on your map and use compass directions while out on the water to find your way.

Then this game is not for you I'm afraid.

Career mode empty and boring, missions can no longer be made (feature removed to be replaced by something that still cannot be used), lots of physics bugs, multiplayer may as well be version 0.0001, meaning nothing to do but build things which is "work work work", and even then it will probably not work how you expect it to.
