I have ran out of fuel in classic mode

So i was playing some classic mode yesterday and then my boat ran out of fuel so i went back to outpost refueled nad now again when my boat is out of fuel i cant refuel because the diesel container is also out of diesel how do i fix this?

if you are using the industry dlc and the starter base then there is a tiny mechanic shed 100m away.. if you spawn a vehicle there you can drive back to the rescue boat building and put 50% of the fuel in your ship so you can sail again.

Els if you played allot and you did not go and buy fuel at the fuel island or other places and refueld your base then you have a problem.

OR maybe not.. You can maybe go into creative mode of the game and make a fuel tank who automatic spawn and fill the fuel tank with fuel.
After you make it then go back to your game and spawn it into your game and maybe you can refuel from that, but im not 100% sure it will work.
maybe the spawn liqued block is not working in career mode.... but try.

What it all boils down to, is instead of playing "Career Mode" where you go out and rescue people any more, you are now playing "Constantly Attempt To get Fuel Mode" where you have to fight for fuel all the time instead of rescuing. They need to change the name to StormCan'tGetFuel.

As the others said you can get some for "free" at other bases. But these tanks will run out too. So on the long run you have to find a fuel buy point and... Guess what, you need to buy fuel 😁
1. Pay more attention to your fuel levels
2. Use electric vehicle to get you some fuel.

The problem youre going to run into with electric is this. Its extremely high drain and low efficiency even before that update to run fuel to my boat I made an electric platform with just fuel tanks. The electric ran out before I could ever get to my boat. So then I got over to north habor and make an electric plane out the few parts i had availbable to run fuel it crashed for many reasons then I made an electric Car to run nothing but tanks Now that did work however it sucked because my boat ran dry in the middle of the fuel gantry SELL... Bay BecauseI thought it wasa Buy Bay... So I had to literally PULL my boat by ROPE for about 30 mins to get it close enough to the shoreline to use the electric car I had driven all the way from north harbor through roads across bridges and then through the forests to get to my boat.

When I first started playing career my boat would run out of fuel due its limited size and range and I Weather and waves would cause it to burn exponentially more fuel.
So I came up with the idea of adding an electric motor to push the boat when I ran out of fuel. It worked to get you to shore BARELY. Then I designed a BUDDY Fuel can to fetch fuel to an empty boat by swimming to shore and then back to the boat. DO NOT DO THAT. It sucks youll end up losing the fuel can it does not float and will leave you even more stranded. Plus the amount you can carry is not enough fuel to get you to a fuel source. Huge waste of time.

Finally I adapted the size of the boat to accompany extra fuel and picked carefully what calls I responded to and used the default boat on and off to prevent using my main rescue boat and fuel. I cant even imagine how difficult career must be now since you have limited fuel in the gantries of only 2000 no matter where you go or what you own.

Not to mention the Equipment drop =Instant death as of this moment I don't think you can even play career because you have to drop rope and extinguishers would cause insta death and you dont respawn.

They could fix this by simply allowing you to "Order" fuel to be delivered.

That's functionally how it used to work before they decided that we all need to be playing Stormworks: Tycoon.

Exactly. I bought for a rescue sim and ended up with a fuel-economy micro management game... Ugh! So far away from what they advertised! And don't get me started with the several different types of fuel connectors... Why it can't just have one? I guess they are taking that part too seriously and mimicking real world.
