how do i buy land?
tried searching it on the forums but i guess nobody has asked before, or im dumb. trying to buy the sawyer freight terminal place.

You should go to the island, and if it has a "for sale" sign on it, then you can buy it. However only islands with workbenches can be bought. You can not buy islands through the map

Hah! What a relief. :D
I had the same problem when I started playing. There are boards / signs on the islands that you can interact with. Just go to that sign and you can buy it there. Look around at there terminal. You will find it.
