Lightweight blocks
I really miss having lightweight blocks, it is almost imposible build realistic replicas of ships due the superstructure has to much mass. We already have heavy blocks, it will be nice having the oposite too.

Just a wish ...

Well for now you could always manually edit your blocks mass="1" in the definitions files to 0.5 or 0.25 for each block.

Deltars spoke about this in a previous Q&A. He basically said that there won't be any lightweight blocks because everybody would start using them as the standard block instead of the current 1x1 and this would apparently be a bad thing. He also said that using the current 1x1 gives vessels a mass/buoyancy that corresponds well with how they perform in the real world which indicates that he has never built one in his own game.

It doesn't make sense, I mean if you use lightweigth blocks everywere then the ratio between low mass and high mass remains ecual so you will have the same problem.

But of course Deltars dixit so ...

For some reason the most common argument can be summed up that the devs don't want players to "cheat" in the most vague definition of the word and are using this not to add stuff that would make sense/be fun.

It's not an eSports game. It's also not a competitive MP game by its very definition (good luck making a physics heavy game work the same in MP as it does in SP, escape from tarkov is very comparable in that manner).

you can cheat large builds by using aircraft wing sections for large spaces like floors and walls. They're pretty darn light compared to the corresponding size rectangle of light blocks. Keep them inside sealed areas though, as if they're all over the outside of the ship they uhh, act like wings and your ship will barrel roll in a slight breeze. You can definitely trim some fat off of your ship by slapping a few in the decks and bulkheads inside though.

There is a mod on the nexus, or you can make the bock yourself, to add a -200kg mass block. The game's pretty much unplayable without it anymore

Yes, anything that makes building more fun and that helps people be more creative should be things that the developers would want to add to this game.
I've never played Escape from Tarkov, but I'll take your word for it. :)

I try to avoid exploits and mods. Suddenly something is changed within the game that makes them not work anymore, and all creations utilising them are useless.
