Starting boat

Can someone recommend a good starting boat off the workshop?

Decided to start playing again and I see the current starter boat STILL has tech you dont start with.

And now in "standart mode" you have all tech opened at start (which is quite logical for me).

Yeah, without a sense of progression I may as well just play creative.

Its not a game at that point, just a builder.

Boat looks nice but it requires research I dont have yet.

But it is too <not good>. It is trully easer to build one by yourself.

And you are a liitle bit wrong about progression. There is a progression for normal mode, but it now measured in money, owned islands and complexity of missions (last is still WIP).
You will need hours to earn enough to build modest large ship. I do recommend you to try it.
But it is question if taste of cause.

Like my own designs, if it’s old it probably has parts deprecated.

The removal of the gearboxes has pretty much made most of the workshop useless for classic career.

The new gearbox is much smaller and lighter though, and getting the gearings right is either a trip to creative mode to fix it in a couple of minutes or a couple of minutes of faffing about in most cases to be honest.
