also how do i get jets to let me turn correctly? one button does both flaps at once and the other does nothing

new one, engine explodes with water being pumped in to system. if i just assemble it, it works fine

Your engine is likely running at too high an RPS value or isn't getting the cooling that would keep it cool at the value it's running at. Try lowering the RPS value to 20.

Flaps are flaps, they're not control surfaces. Flaps are things that you set either neutral or positive to increase drag and decrease lift, for landing and takeoff generally. They're not intended for steering.

When you said "jets" I assume you mean the fluid jets? If so then when you said "flaps" you meant the buckets on the fluid jets for steering? If so the buckets can only be used one at a time for either a left or right turn. Left bucket to turn left and right bucket to turn right.

yea. if i attach them to a and d all that happens when i press d both left and right close and a does nothing.

flaps i was referring to are on the jet for jet propulsion on boats.

also, they are set to 20 already. im running 2 airplane engine and i finally got them to stay cool by adding in large water pumps.

is there any good way to make a water cooled land vehicle?

Yes, just use a radiator. Radiators provide good cooling when you're mobile, but very little when you're stationary.
