It explodes once it reaches max RPM (12000RPM, or 200RPS), so you have to ensure it does not reach the critical point.

Gas turbine engine isn't really controlled by throttle input per se, because its sensitivity varies by wide margin depending on load.
So ideally you want to have a micro-controller doing it for you and holding certain RPM range.
The easy (if harder to understand) is to make a PID controller for it.
If i remember right, the values are 1, 0.000001 and 0.001 respectively
f(x) block, with f(x) = x/((y*0.1)+1), with x hooked to throttle lever, y to engine rps, output to engine throttle input.
well i used 0.01 0.00001 0.1 for the pid and it exploded
still can i get a link with a good microcontroller for the engine
Also strange thing at a plane with huge wings I added 2 jet engines at the final part of the main wing because there are 2 extra wings wich make the plane longer [_||||_] like this looks the plane and they have nothing at max rps they didn't explode once i didn't use any microcontrollers or anything how can you explain this ???

Those aren't anywhere near the numbers i gave you :lunar2019deadpanpig:

Anyhow, here you go. The values were 0.1, 0.000001 and 0.001 respectively. 1 for the first still works, even if it gets a bit of a sneeze on high RPM without a load attached.

personally, I use .1 - .0001 - .1 for PID (anything less for first value and engine will take an ungodly amount of time to spool up). And link the progress variable to intake rps (not combustion chamber!). Jet engines explode around 200rps, but I usually limit them to 150-175 max
The jet engines spool up slower at lower rotations regardless of what your PID settings are. Even the numbers i have output throttle numbers in excess of 10, and nothing past 1 does anything whatsoever.

Though, to act realistically, jet engines would have to spool up and spool down slowly at all ranges. 10 RPS / second is way too fast.

yes, they spool slowly until combustion chamber fires (regardless of what PID is set at).

for comparison, certified commercial jet engines are required to spool from idle to max rpm in 8 seconds, which translates to about 40-50 rps...

but there's very little that's realistic about jet engines in stormworks, they're far too fuel hungry for anything other than thrust (turbines are all but useless)
To be fair, they're fuel hungry because they put out ridiculous amount of power. One jet engine can easily replace 3 or 4 large ones.

trouble is, you need a fuel tank as large as 3 or 4 large engines to have any range...lol
New problem at my plane: After a few minutes of flying it starts lowing the air pressure from 15 to 10 and makes strange noises like it keep reopening and yeah it's loud any ideas why + the engines are controlled directly to the throttle because they don't explode lol and I have tons of fuel
You'd have to upload it so that we can have a look at it
