so i have a sound problem

Yeah so i have a sound problem and i done everything to see how to do it outside almost completely for the game and inside the game, and i cant figure out the problem. like i troubleshooted it, i verified it, (i think that's whats it called)and i cant seem to get any sound from it. so yeah.

When the game is open, open up Windows Volume mixer (right click the speaker icon) and see if the game is producing any sound (the volume bar should be bouncing about).
If it is producing sound, try unplugging and re-plugging your headphones, if you have ones.
If it isn't producing sound, check the game settings and make sure the sound is actually turned on (sounds silly, i know), and then verify the game files if even that doesn't help.

I found stormworks is pretty unique with sound, any headphones etc plugged in during the game wont actually use them until restarted, like rasputin says it may be likely stormworks is simply using the wrong sound device, hence why its important to see if the game itself is outputting sound and go from there

My friend has this problem, he says he cannot enjoy the game anymore because he can't have sound
i hope a concrete solution comes, unless there already is one, in wich i hope we find it
