not much you can do other than to remove the water tank and get 2 large pumps instead of what you have

Coolant flowrate only starts going with the heat source (firebox / furnace) hitting ~130-150°+). It's best to add some sort of jump start heat-up phase, letting the heat source go bonkers to 300-350° until the boiler hits ~70-75°. Should increase the heating up phase significantly.

I also managed to use 6 electrical furnaces (with 2 medium batteries each) in series, to heat up boiler coolant above 100° within 20 seconds, if that's something you have space for.

As far as i know the small furnaces cant go as high? Also it goes till about 200 and on my much smaller steam engine thag worked, with a coolant flow rate of about 5l/s. Also in this engine the coolant flow seems to be high enough?

That's no longer the case, got changed some time ago. Back in the days the firebox spawned with its own coolant, with the oil drilling update they no longer do. Coolant spawns in above a certain temperature only. Kind of a weird change, don't even want to know why it was changed this way, the inner workings must be very bonkers:

v.1.7.1:
Fix - Removed default coolant from fireboxes
