Workshop mods

hi guys im new to the game after seeing some sinking ship survival videos i hada to buy it and i cant get the majority of mods to show up in my list to spawn them. i fiqured it was because i didnt have dlc so i bought them both and the mods still wont show in the list. some do most dont and my computer is a beast i can spawn the normandy and light every light without lag. i have unsubcribed from all and re downloaded. i watched them download and and checked my subscriptions and im subscribed but they dont even show up in game. i should note i have not progress the story missions at all and i have re started the game and pc multiple times. any help would be appreciated

Some workshop items, especially large ones can only be spawned by enebling them in the addons menu or using the addon editor in the game.

yes but they do not show up in the addon editor for me to choose to spawn in. i have noticed mods with a blue flag in the thumbnail work fine and mods with a yellow or no flag color do show up in game . i dont mean they dont spawn in i mean i cant even choose them to spawn in.

Did you start a new game and select the workshop section?

You need to activate the addon in the addon menu when you start the game.

so i start a new game and i go into enable add ons i go to workshop mods and only a select few of my subcriptions show up like the normandy and fully loaded calypso ect ect but majority of my subscriptions are not visible. i normally use oil rig large on custom unless a spawn point shows up for the selected add on. and i then load in wait a few seconds and then go into add on editor and i click the add on and they always spawn. what i can see in the menu works but problem is most mods dont even show up in the editor at all.

Try verifying game file integrity in steam. The subscriptions may not have been added to the game for some reason.

yea i did that and i also re installed the whole game after buying the second dlc still no luck.

Here is something you can try, check the steam workshop file to see if they are all in there.

You can use manage, browse local files, then use the file explorer to go back into steam>steamapps.workshop>content>573090 This should be where all the workshop downloads are. count how many you have, vs how many you should have. if you open one of the files, you should see the name of it and an .xml file, open the xml file and see if it says hide_in_inventory="true" That means you have it downloaded, but it is not visible

so i found folder 573090 but it wont let me open it for whatever reason. i can see around 6 mods in the game but i am subscribed to 16 i think and they show up in the workshop section of the mange section of steam. idk im kinda bummed tho. thanks for trying.

try vehicle edditor, was looking for the same problem but suprisingly some items only loaded in the work bench
