Train wheel slip
My wheels keep slipping and im not even at 75%throttle. I'm using 2 classic wheels powered by one medium electric engine, with 3 gearboxes facing towards the engine with the first ratio being 2:1, second ratio 3:1, and third ratio being 3:1. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks in advance

The wheel can slip due to many factor including : Current Speed, how fast you brake or transfer power, the weight of the vehicle and also the number of powered train wheel.

How would I prevent slip, because I've seen trains reach 215 m/s with no slip.

To reduce wheel slip it's about controlling the RPS going to your wheels. Trains are not about reaching fast speeds immediately. It's a about a slower buildup as you slowly increase the RPS. Wheel slip is like doing burnouts with car tires. Too much power and you're just playing with kinetic friction. With regards to the throttle you probably won't even get to full. The train bogeys have an output that lets you know that wheel slip is occurring. You can use this in a micro-controller to dynamically dial back the throttle until the wheel slip disappears.

Another thing.. .consider more wheels. The more bogeys on the train engine the more power gets transferred through. You have to consider that you can get your train engine up to speed but if it doesn't have enough power to pull something then its useless.
