Jet engine efficiency

hiya, question regarding jet engines and fuel consumption.

so i play my fair share of career mode and i was curious if I am able to make jet engines more fuel efficient mostly for helicopters, my current one I made uses a modular engine lasts about 150 minutes on 1400L. testing a few on the workshop i found ones that use jet engines and roughly similar in size use a similar amount of fuel in about 30-40 minutes also, given that jet fuel costs 4x as much as diesel I would appreciate if anyone has any information that could help me thank ya

Honestly, I'm totally giving a pat on the back for getting 30-40 minutes out of that. Jet engines are fuel hogs in this game.

build a bloody modular engine with as many cylinders as possible, use gearboxes to maximize rps and use as low of an rps for your engine microcontroller as possible.
