And on top of that your processor is below the minimum reqs, they ask for an i5 4th gen, yours is 2nd gen, and hence it's not compatible with open gl 3.2, maybe a 4th gen i5 IGP would be able to play it.
But yeah unless you upgrade you're right out of luck.
ah, so I guess it is just a matter of the IGP supporting opengl 3.2 or not, in your case that i7 model goes up to opengl 4.0, that's why it works
I assumed that the game had no official support for IGPs since they ask for a geforce 650m/ gtx 550 at the minimum specs
unfortunetely no... your CPU is ok, but the IGP in it doesn't really cut it, if only you had a discrete card to go with it it would be just fine, which is not really an option since it's a laptop.
well, you could build a fairly cheap gaming PC :P about 800 bucks and you can get a build good enough to play this game flawlessly, here's an example https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RyGQzY
add another 100/200 bucks and you can get a GTX 1060 with 6GB of VRAM, which would be way better, but a 1050ti would make short work of a game like this (and many others)
hah, no you really can't, the only thing you could use out of it would be the hard drive I guess, and you'd only be saving like 50 bucks.
EDIT wow my cpu is only 50$
Laptop CPUs are completely different from Desktop ones, for one they use different sockets, which are not available in any desktop motherboards.
Also yeah you wouldn't be saving all that much, plus even if it was possible you'd have to buy pretty old hardware to accomodate it, which you can't find new anymore.
