You think walking Mecha possible?
With maybe a few extra parts and the use of logic, would you think the idea of stable walking / hoovering Mecha's would be a possibility?

I don't see why it couldn't. All the pieces are available (rotor pivots, tilt sensors, mag grippers). With microcontrollers there's enough "processing power" to put it all together. It will just take someone's patience to put it all together and factor everything required for bipedal walking. How easy that will be will depend on the complexity of the movement (i.e. foot slider vs an actual walker).

6 legs easier then 4,
4 legs easier then 2
2 legs pretty hard, if terrain is not perfectly flat

Yeah the varied logic involved in bipod stability seems kinda steep.. with muli legged mecha more likely, if a bit janky with the fluid movement I have in mind maybe impossible.

Combine tilt and velocity sensors for each leg section, with body sensors as a reference.. man alotta work but real interesting

Heres a good starting point

I just recently put together my first bipedal walker. I walks at about 0.5m/s. I used switchboxes, thresholds, and blinkers and adjusted the timings to the robotic hinges of the legs. I managed to make it turn with small fans but i have some ideas to make it turn mechanically. also make sure to keep the center of gravity low

I recon with the right tweaks, timings, trial and error development it could become the kinda personalised mecha's we dream up... For now I'm still at the stage of tinkering, getting my head around the logic.. Half the fun tho.

Be awesome to see peoples progress, will learn alot too.
