Smaller or different jet engines?
Was thinking about building a small passenger aircraft and thought about how most of them are now powered by turbo props and not gasoline octane aircraft engines. Issue is, the jet engines are big and consume a lot of fuel, so I was wondering if we could get smaller ones obviously less power but still small to put in small passenger planes? And also consume less fuel too at cost of power.

That would be nice, But for right now. you can get pretty decent fuel consumption on turboshaft type engines by using more tubines. 1 compressor 1 combustion chamber and 4 turbines can run pretty much anything with low fuel useage. you could put the jet in the body of the plane and use pipes to the propellers.
4 turbines is a lot-
I don't think my planes are that big

4 is a bit overkill 2 would be fine
yeah, still just curious if the devs will actually add even 2x2 or 1x1 jet engines, not like I should expect an answer, know theres a mod for 1x1 engines but Idk how to install mods.

I use 4 turbines on my coax helicopter to get the blades to 60 rps, even though coax rotors freak out above 35 rps. But i use the 4 so that there is no rps drop when i add collective.

It would be nice to have a lot of things, smaller jest would be top of my list too.

Depending on the mod, it is not too difficult to add them to the game. you just need to know where to find the files.

I would very much like more jet diameters. Heck, even just a smaller compressor would do wonders.
As for fuel usage, I managed to get by with splicing a fluid variable valve into the fuel line when I made a car for running on jet fuel. Thing was 50% engine, and 50% fuel tank.
Edit: Also, that car was almost 0% traction...

The jets in the game are about the size of f 15 engines, imagine cramming one of those into a honda civic....

To be honest smaller jet engines and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of other things would have made more sense and been way the f more useful than a useless fn KRAKEN

I took a buggy and turned it into a 6-wheeled truck. Fair to say new bodywork was a major requirement.

Definantly

I used to do that with my boats in classic career.

I very recently stripped out the jet turbines from my latest boat after getting frustrated. I put the intakes on small towers, stabilized the vessel, and was achieving 20 knots at best out of props alone, and a potential for the jets to rev up and send me to the sky unless I went some other slow...ish speed. I was working out those kinks when the seas went choppy and proved the tower idea to be grossly insufficient. Diesel is such a luxury for boats...
