Pressure Damage
I was wondering if the developers had any idea of implementing something like the underwater pressure damage for submarine and similar.

It is already in the game. I was in a sub and at about 300m the sub started breaking. and i started getting damage.

No such thing as pressure damage, past 300-320m depth you most likely scratched the ground, causing damage.

Terrain can be buggy at those depths, the terrain texture mesh doesn't seem to follow the terrain collision mesh most of the time. You can also observe this by spawning a non floating object on an ocean tile in the editor and observe how it floats down and goes beneath the visual ocean floor surface.
I thought 300m was max depth.
Have not been deeper with any of my submarines.
There is pressure damage. Turning player damage off is the only way around it.

There is pressure damage for people characters but not for vehicles. The wet suit and dive suit will protect you to certain depths but beyond that you start getting damaged.
^yeah, players take damage at depth. it's why they added underwater welder components for vehicles, presumably to be used on those super deep sea floor missions.
Water just needs to do more damage in general, as of now you can smash a large ship launched airborne into a 60 foot wave at 30 knots and not break a window. Vessels have no structural integrity at all and as long as your ship is watertight and don't hit something solid you 100% don't face any real danger. Also planes can just casually crash land in the water at high speed when in reality that scenario usually results in catastrophic failure for the aircraft.

Can't wait to see how the already buggy game engine handles that!
