How do I edit settings for an addon in a save?

Just as the title asks, I'm wondering if I can edit the values and settings I changed for some individual addons that I've enabled for my career save game. For example, I want to reduce the time between natural disasters from 8 to 5 minutes. I don't want to start a new game since I've invested way too much time into this current one.

All you can change the easy way is what you can change trough the settings when hitting ESC in game. In career most settings are locked.
You can check the config file of your save with an text editor and search for the setting you need to change and do it manually. Use forum search function or Google to learn how.
As for environment mods, They cannot be changed only by starting a new game.
