Tips on placing windows?
I know this should be stupid simple, but I can't place windows that don't look wrong. How do you guys get your windows to line up with your wedge blocks and all that?

Lol I know what you mean I suck at ligning them up the body myself. Some just have the knack for making nice cockpits/cabins and some are using modded window xml's

How does that whole thing work lol? I just recently heard of xml modding but I'd think you'd have to upload modded files with your crafts when posting to the workshop, right?

Actually if I remember correctly when you download a workshop vehicle using them they already modded and saved in the vehicle's xml file.

But if you wanted to use them in your builds you would need to mod your blocks xml files.

If memory serves me right, those modded windows are not air/watertight.

Window placement can be a long and arduous task whenever I try to make a cockpit...thing.
Usually I start by placing a floor, then the pilot seat.
From that point I try to make the front and upper part of the windows, then I try many things to make the sides not look weird.
Placing the seat first allows me to know how close the seat can be to the windows and thus also help placing instruments.

Yeah pretty sure you're right on them not being air/watertight.

That's a bummer on the windows :(. I don't understand why the windows go at different angles than the actual blocks themselves. It seems like it makes alignment impossible, or at least very difficult.
