cant shoot guns?

recently bought the DLC but the guns wont shoot even though i restarted the game, made a new save and turned on the weapons dlc

You need to enable to DLC, which means starting a new game.

What type of gun is it?

If it is an autocannon make sure the logic is set up to shoot it with a button or something. Also make sure the ammo is connected and loaded.

For the cannons, make sure you open the breach and load with the loader part. Also make sure to have the ammo loaded.

For the machine gun, make sure to add the ammo.

Addon enabled. Handgun loaded.

Found the problem, the button to fire was space. im used to pressing left click and space is the last thing that comes to mind

I think the new space bar trigger button came with the DLC, so that can make it difficult to see if you are used to it not being there.

idk why they set default binding is to spacebar, most people rebind it to mouse click

I think it might be because you have touch pad systems and so on that might get conflicted, and I think space bar was not bound to anything else, so in that way it makes sense.

Really? It’s always been left click for me with space bar remaining binded to jump. As far as I can remember, I never changed the default bindings.
