As long as it is not sealing its just destryoing my existing setups.
Yeah its definetly a working system.
Its just takes more space and cloggs up my allready crowded ship :-)
Ended up finding a solution for making specific parts of a belt water tight, for anyone else that is looking in the future and google directs here
It isn’t exactly compact but works well enough:

It basically uses angled connectors on a sub grid to make a complete track that allows ammo to pass through a 2x1 slope, due to connectors not needing to be 100% lined up
