Linear track base speed
Is there anyway I can make a linear track base go faster? I have the gear ratio set at 1:1. I am building a catapult for my battleship

ive built a quick demonstrator using a winch to build up pressure between a slider if you would like to use it.

such a simple but elegant device. There is quite a bit of energy you will need to wrangle to make it work properly though. But it is very doable

Did you try other ratios?

Yes, they were all slower

I've built a quick demonstrator using a winch to build up pressure between a slider if you would like to use but keep in mind that depending on the weight of what you are launching this may not be what you are looking for.

Is there anyway you can launch something off of it

I have made many similar things mostly to see how far I could fling myself in just a seat and survive. You have to attach your fling item to the contraption, and then you have to detach it before the end of the contraption.

making the trigger to let go is a thing.
