I need some help with landing gear
Hi all! My problem is that I am trying to build a helicopter. I got most of the systems working, but for the first time I try to make a folding landing skid. My problem is that when I spawn the helicopter, the landing skid is collapsing. I have a compact linear track base, that goes 1 block towards the body, and robotic pivots are connecting to the actual skids. I have connected numerical switch blocks to the linear track base, with constant numbers 1 and -1 to slide in and out. But I cannot figure out how to setup the robotic pivots. I also put numerical switch blocks with constant numbers. I tried 1, -1, and it folds the skids completely up and under the body, I tried 0.50, 0.25, -0.50, -0.25 and no luck. The skids are still colapsing. Could somebody please tell me how to setup those robotic pivots so they are folding underneath the body when I switch on a button, and when I switch off, the helicopter stands on its skids like it should. Thanks in advance

so the thing about pivots is they always start at 0. If you are expecting them to stand on spawn rotated to 1 or - 1 they will always fold. Without seeing your design im really just guessing.

thanks for the heads up... how could I show you my creation?

upload it to the workshop and then link it here in your thread.

okay, so make sure you have direction arrows turned on in the editor. You will see that the +solid blue arrow and the - outline arrow, the zero is where those arrows meet. Your pivots are pointing down and need to be rotated 90degrees to the outboard side of your heli. They are rotating to zero on spawn.

I think that will fix it but I got grandkids waking up that need attention, so if it doesnt I will have more time to actually properly replace parts later to see how to fix it.
