Right now i created some templates for wiki pages which enhance the default pages and provide navigation through the different topics.
I also created some templates to enhance commenting on the Wiki-Meta-Discussions.
I moved most of the existing pages into those new structure (not pages like changenotes, system requirements or the wiki-meta pages)
Since i cant edit the main page of the wiki (which in my opinion must be enhanced and reworked) this is not done yet. I hope to get some contact to some wiki administrator soon.
After spending about 200 hours on the wiki with over 1000 edits it finally has a decent structure. But there is still a lot of work to do and a lot of information to add. And in the process i just got wiki guardian.
If you want to help the community and new players you can add new information to these topics:
- Missions (types of missons, how to solve, ...)
- Guides (Best practices and hints for new players)
- Game Mechanics (How things work, e.g. electricity, gearboxes, etc.)
- the new video system and lua API
What i am going to do:
In the next couple of days i will add the new components from the last 3 updates to the components pages.
I will also gather information of used and defined standards (by the community) for all sorts of vehicles and then put it into a new wiki category "standards". This includes a labeling/certification system, more one that later (weekend hopefully).
Further Steps:
I will try to aquire some experts for ships, missions, game xml modding and static vehicles to create some guides on that (or at least find the information external and link to it).
Have a good week and probably fun with the new cameras,
