Just a reminder that train wheels are smooth metal wheels against a smooth metal surface. Don't slam the throttle onto full, increase it slowly and gradually, and watch for slippage. Lower throttle if you start slipping.

also weightblocks help greatly in stormworks slip issue, pile them on, in my track-free trains, weightblocks vs none give much much more grip while seemingly not effecting power to climb hills

Okay thanks for the help

no worries, weight blocks arnt as ugly as they seem too, use them like rivets for detail. quite useful

The middle diamond on weight blocks also disappears if the block is colored a certain shade of gray

If the trains form of propulsion is just an engine delivering power to the wheels then you need to accelerate slowly or else the wheels will slip. I haven't done a lot with trains but I noticed that they sometimes have a problem with not being able to exceed a certain top speed without having wheel slip. I don't know what to do about that other than using a jet engine. maybe try hiding propellers or fans inside of the engine for additional propulsion???

you can also do the opposite, using a fan pointed down that pushes air up can increase traction in stormworks and provide a nice traction sound if linked and geared to the wheels

the small fans are overpowered well for this

aero-sanders on my land trains work well :)

Thank you all for the help i was also wondering what is the frequency for changing tracks
Drepface Apr 30, 2020 @ 10:05am
it is broken. track switching is nonfuctional currently. radios set to 440hz are supposed to work, and ive tried 0 hz as some people said, but it does not work

Okay thanks

For me it worked when I didn't give the radio a frequency at all. I have no idea why.
