Stormworks: Build and Rescue

Stormworks: Build and Rescue

I have a problem with a megalodon.
So, I was messing around in creative mode when I decided to spawn a ton of megalodons. Now, after I was done, there seemed to be no way to remove them, so I saved the game, quit and came back a while later. However, the megalodon was still there. More importantly, it seems to have gotten itself stuck in my dock, so I can't do anything till it despawns. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

I am assuming you spawned a bunch of them using the mission editor. Because you saved, quit, and reloaded, this may not work anymore. I will post it anyways for future.

If you spawned them by 'testing' the mission, then opening the mission editor again will despawn them.

If you actually created a saved mission and started that mission from the missions list on the map, then you should be able to simply cancel the mission from the mission tracker. You might have to leave the area for everything to despawn, though.

I did not use the mission editor to spawn them, I used creative tools, so it is not a mission.

If you used creative tools, then I assume you just have to wait for them to 'go away.' Leaving the area (despawn range) might help.

Sadly, I cannot offer much more, as I only spawn them via the mission editor. If you want finer control over removing them, I would definitely suggest using the mission editor, as my above post works for that. :)

Yes, you could try and fast travel to another base, but that's assuming you had explored the world enough to see another location to travel too.

If this fails, one simple workaround would be to make another creative save (since there is no progression to lose), you could even use the same seed if you liked this one.

Or if for some reason you absolutely want to keep playing this save, the only thing I can think of would be to open the scene.xml file in your save folder in a text editor (make a backup before just in case), search for megalodon="true", and change it to megalodon="false".

I've never tried it myself but it could do the trick.

Alright, I see, well, next time I will just make sure not to spawn a megalodon near my base, or I'll use the mission editor.
