You can also set the sensitivity, which is how much the value changes when you press the key. The lesser the sensitivity, the lesser the change (so the finer the control). If you crank it up to 100%, you end up - mostly - only sending -1, 0 and 1 values out. You can see that clearly if you link a dial to the seat output.
Since you're controlling a clutch, I'm not sure if you would like to still be able to engage it partially (e.g. 60 or 80%), which a lever or a pair of keys allow you to do, but if you don't mind the clutch being either fully disengaged or fully engaged (i.e. on 0 or 1), you can do that by linking it to a toggle button or the number keys of your keyboard (1 to 6) via the pilot seat.
